Draft for legal review
Terms of Service
These working terms govern access to the AIGIS website, AIGIS Field, AIGIS OPS, AIGIS Command, and related services.
Last updated
1. Agreement and Authority
By accessing or using AIGIS, you agree to these Terms. If you use AIGIS for an organization, you represent that you are authorized to act for that organization and to follow its policies, procedures, and instructions.
2. AIGIS Services
AIGIS provides tools for field response, unit awareness, missions, dispatch, messaging, radio, responder readiness, accountability, service records, and related operational coordination. Available features vary by product, device, organization, subscription, configuration, and integration.
An order form, statement of work, service agreement, or other signed contract may add or replace terms for a customer organization. The signed agreement controls if it conflicts with these Terms.
3. Accounts and Authorized Users
You must provide accurate account information, protect credentials and trusted devices, use only the access assigned to you, and promptly report suspected compromise. Customer administrators are responsible for approving users, assigning appropriate roles, and removing access when it is no longer needed.
4. Operational Use and Required Backup Procedures
AIGIS supports situational awareness and coordination. It does not replace 911, public safety answering points, trained judgment, agency procedures, required dispatch or radio systems, or appropriate backup communications. Users must verify critical information and maintain fallback procedures suitable for their work.
AIGIS must not be treated as the sole source for life-safety, navigation, evacuation, medical, aviation, weather, personnel, or command decisions.
5. Maps, Location, CAD, and External Data
Maps, unit locations, weather, aircraft, outage, CAD, and other integration data may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable, or inaccurate. Customer organizations are responsible for selecting and configuring their data sources, verifying critical information, and determining whether an integration is appropriate for a particular use.
6. Messaging, Radio, and RoIP
Messaging, push-to-talk, radio replay, and RoIP features depend on device permissions, networks, carriers, gateways, radio systems, and third-party services. Customer organizations are responsible for channel authorization, radio licensing, gateway configuration, operational procedures, and any legally required notice or consent for recording or monitoring communications.
7. Location and Personnel Data
Customer organizations must have an appropriate basis to collect, use, and share responder identity, precise location, qualifications, availability, assignments, and service history. They must configure access for authorized operational purposes and provide any notices or choices required by law, labor agreements, agency policy, or contract.
8. AI-Assisted Features
AI-assisted features may generate drafts, summaries, briefings, research, or suggestions. Outputs may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate. An authorized person must review and verify output before using it. AI output must not be the sole basis for emergency, employment, credentialing, medical, disciplinary, or other high-impact decisions.
9. Notifications and SMS
AIGIS may offer SMS for users who opt in. Messages may include account notices, operational alerts, dispatch updates, staffing requests, or other communications described when consent is collected. Frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply, and consent is not a condition of purchase.
Where supported, reply STOP to opt out and HELP for assistance. Opting out of SMS does not stop non-SMS notices that the service or customer organization is otherwise authorized to send.
10. Customer Content
As between AIGIS and the customer, the customer retains its rights in information and materials submitted to the service. The customer grants AIGIS the rights needed to host, process, transmit, display, protect, and support that content and to operate requested features and integrations.
The customer and its users are responsible for the accuracy, quality, legality, permissions, and operational use of customer content.
11. Acceptable Use
You must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. You may not access data or systems without authorization, impersonate another person, misuse location or personnel information, interfere with communications or emergency operations, or bypass access and security controls.
12. Third-Party Services and Integrations
AIGIS may connect to customer-selected or third-party services, devices, data feeds, app stores, networks, radio gateways, and identity providers. Their terms, availability, data practices, and performance are controlled by their providers. AIGIS is not responsible for a third-party service outside AIGIS's control.
13. Fees and Payment
Fees, taxes, billing terms, renewal terms, and purchasing commitments are governed by the applicable quote, order form, invoice, or signed customer agreement. AIGIS may limit or suspend paid services for overdue amounts, subject to that agreement.
14. AIGIS Intellectual Property
AIGIS and its licensors retain all rights in the website, applications, software, designs, documentation, and service technology, excluding customer content. These Terms do not transfer ownership of AIGIS intellectual property.
15. Availability and Changes
Service availability may be affected by maintenance, networks, devices, customer systems, emergencies, and third-party services. AIGIS may update, add, limit, or discontinue features. Customer agreement commitments, including any support or availability terms, continue to control where applicable.
16. Suspension and Termination
AIGIS may suspend or terminate access for suspected compromise, harmful or unlawful use, risk to people or systems, nonpayment, violation of these Terms, or as required by law. A customer agreement may provide additional notice, cure, data-return, and termination terms.
17. Disclaimers
Except for warranties expressly stated in a signed agreement, AIGIS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law. AIGIS disclaims implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and noninfringement.
18. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, AIGIS will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill, data, or business interruption. Any aggregate liability is subject to the applicable signed customer agreement.
19. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law and subject to any signed customer agreement, you and the customer organization are responsible for claims arising from unlawful or unauthorized use, customer content, customer-configured integrations, or violation of these Terms or the rights of another person.
20. Contract Priority and Applicable Law
A signed customer agreement controls service-specific commitments, liability limits, governing law, venue, dispute procedures, and notices. If no signed agreement applies, applicable law determines those matters.
21. Changes to These Terms
AIGIS may update these Terms by posting a revised version and changing the date at the top of this page. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or customer channels. Continued use after the effective date of revised Terms constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
